Gifting

Porcelain is one of the few gifts that gets better with use. It does not go out of style, it does not need batteries, and thirty years from now it will still be on someone’s shelf. Here is everything you need to give it well.

How our packaging arrives

Every order ships in unbleached recycled kraft with a die-cut foam cradle for each piece — no plastic clamshells, no branded logo shouting from the outside. The box looks like something you would want to open slowly. If you are shipping directly to a recipient, we never include a price anywhere in the parcel or on the packing slip.

Handwritten gift notes

Leave your message in the Order notes field at checkout and we will write it by hand on an uncoated card and tuck it beside the piece. Up to about 200 characters fits comfortably. No extra charge, ever.

What to give, by occasion

Housewarming — under $45

The 11″ matte white vase ($29.99) is the safe, generous choice: it works in a rental studio and in a renovated brownstone, and it does not assume anything about their existing palette. Pair it with a single stem of eucalyptus and you have a complete gift.

Wedding or anniversary — $65 and up

The Ultimate Blanc de Chine Collection reads as a considered gift rather than a purchase. Vases and tea ware in one box, all fired from the same clay, so nothing clashes when they finally unpack it.

The tea drinker — under $40

The hand-painted blue lotus cup is hand-brushed under the glaze, so no two are identical. If they already own a full gongfu set, this still slots in — the suet-white body is a neutral against almost any teapot.

Someone who has everything — $42.99

The 5-piece bud vase set. Not one object but a small system: five heights they can rearrange across a shelf, a windowsill, or a dinner table. It is the gift people photograph.

Corporate and bulk gifting

Ordering ten or more pieces for a team, a client list, or an event? Email support@purekiln.com with “Bulk” in the subject. We can split-ship to individual addresses, include a uniform card, and confirm lead time before you commit — hand-thrown stock moves slowly, so give us two to three weeks for larger runs.

Practical details

  • Free US shipping on orders over $50 — most gifts qualify.
  • 30-day returns on unused pieces in original packaging. If it broke in transit, send a photo and we replace it; no return needed.
  • Lead-free and cadmium-free throughout, so it is safe for food and tea straight out of the box.
  • Dishwasher-safe — the recipient does not need to be precious with it. Details in Product Care.
