Bud vases are the smallest pieces of porcelain with the largest job: holding a single stem — or nothing at all — and still making a room feel considered. Here are five ways to style a Purekiln bud vase.
1. One stem, one shelf
The classic. A single branch of dried grass, eucalyptus, or one sculptural stem in a slim bud vase, placed at eye level on a shelf. Let the porcelain do the rest.
2. The quiet trio
Group three bud vases in different heights on a mantel or console. Use one stem in the tallest, leave the others empty — the negative space is part of the design.
3. The table anchor
A bud vase with a low bloom (ranunculus, garden rose) at the center of a dining table keeps conversation flowing without blocking sightlines.
4. The windowsill collection
Line a kitchen or bedroom windowsill with a row of bud vases catching morning light. The matte suet-white finish glows warmly at sunrise.
5. The guest-room gesture
A single stem beside a guest’s bed says more than a card. It is the kind of detail people remember.
Our vase collection is hand-thrown in Dehua and fired at 1300°C — made to be styled, restyled, and passed down.
